Village Life

Make your home at East Brunswick Village

As the many people already enjoying life at EBV can attest, EBV truly is a village to call home. Be immersed in a modern urban community of like-minded souls seeking to thrive now and into the future over shared interests like gardening and sustainable living. Enjoy the rooftop views or catch up with friends and neighbours in the tranquil rooftop gardens.

Keen to relax and unwind with friends or your new neighbours? Why not plan a rooftop dinner. Buying online? Make use of the villagers’ safe and secure parcel lockers and intelligent mailbox systems. Working from home or studying? Hot desk at the soon to be built co-working office space. Need to do some repairs or want to get hands on and create something? Join the Brunswick Tool Library for access to a fully functional communal tool shed. There will also be a helping hand available at EBV, courtesy of the services of an onsite caretaker for residents.

EBV is 6 kilometres from the city, and public transport options providing direct access to Melbourne’s city grid, including the iconic number 96 tram which travels between East Brunswick and St Kilda, and is Melbourne’s busiest tram route, are at your doorstep. Villagers also have access to a car share facility, electric vehicle charging station and 960 bicycle spaces.

At the heart of a 20-minute neighbourhood

We understand that the places we live have a direct impact on our health, and that good urban design is at the heart of healthy living. That’s why we’ve taken care to ensure EBV is at the heart of what Plan Melbourne calls a ‘20-minute neighbourhood’. All about living locally, 20-minute neighbourhoods enable people to meet most or even all of their daily needs within a 20-minute walk from home, with access to safe cycling and local transport options.

Retail and entertainment areas at your doorstep

Village Ave has all your retail basics including a market-style Coles, Liquorland, Chimmys Bakery, This Earth This Food organic grocer, & Bellboys Cafe. At 3 Bluestone Way, a vibrant restaurant and entertainment precinct, including a FoMo Cinema’s, Bridge Road Brewers, Rumi Restaurant, Tacoya Japanese Restaurant, Siconi Gelato to name a few, will bring EBV alive, day and night. Meanwhile a wellness focus at 8 Bluestone Way will offer fitness centre Project Better, medical clinic Inner Health North, pharmacy, massage, yoga, Pilates, allied health and health spa.

Featuring some of the best apartment amenities

EBV residents can make the most of village life by accessing amenities put aside for villagers’ exclusive use with over 2300sqm of activated rooftops including yoga and meditation spaces, outdoor productivity pods, walking loops, medicinal gardens, veggie gardens, apiary, BBQ’s, kids cubbyhouse and more.

EBV Social Club

The EBV Social Club is a free members club for villagers. It gives you exclusive access to all rooftop communal spaces, regardless of which EBV address you call home.

Run by our social club coordinator April, clubs like book club, film club, veggie club, craft club, coffee club and bee club are designed for villagers to join and meet new people in, and to learn and grow in.

Events such as EBV’s New Year’s Eve rooftop party are also coordinated through the club.

You’ll get to know Brunswick East’s artisan tradespeople, makers, musicians and manufacturers, including more songwriters per capita than in any other Australian suburb*.
