At EBV, cultural placemaking is part of everyday life. Since 2018, Andy Dinan of ADA Consulting has led the Village’s cultural and placemaking strategy, embedding culture into the precinct from the earliest stages of its development. Working closely with architect Chris Manton, EBV sets itself apart with a cultural vision that reflects the character of East Brunswick through an ambitious collection of 92 artworks by 75 Australian artists.
More than a public art program, EBV’s placemaking cultural strategy brings together site-specific sculptures, murals, artist of mixed media residencies, children’s gardens and contemporary works to create a neighbourhood where creativity is woven into the built environment. The result is a community where art enriches everyday experiences, inviting moments of discovery and connection around every corner.
