The Elm Grove Team

Developer: Banco Group
A leader in its field for more than 50 years, Banco Group brings vast knowledge and experience of residential and mixed-use developments in Melbourne to the EBV project.
We strongly believe that people and community are at the heart of everything we do. We take our responsibility as place makers seriously and are committed to environmentally and socially responsible growth for all our projects.
Achieving a balance between residential, retail, and commercial uses, creating a sense of place through art, amenities and public space – are Banco’s signatures.
We pride ourselves on our vision of building a sustainable urban future for Australian cities and creating places people can truly call home.

Architect:
JAM Architects
“Our architectural vision is of a self-sustaining village that enables holistic, modern urban living, yet respects and engages with the EBV site’s industrial past, and the culturally diverse neighbourhood it’s located in today.”
Chris Manton – Director – JAM Architects

Cultural Place Making:
ADA Consulting
“At EBV, we’re creating more than just spaces; we’re creating peoples’ homes. Culture is the glue that sticks community together, and we want the public art and wellbeing offerings to engage and soothe residents and visitors alike. We’re engaging local artists to create great public art that will stand the test of time. There is public art throughout EBV, in a range of mediums – sculpture, photography, and murals, pieces that will drive conversation, connection and community”.
Andy Dinan – Director – ADA Consulting

Landscaping
Fiona Hoegh-Guldberg
“EBV would not be the impressive place it is without its strong sense of community. I hope residents can connect with the native species around them and that we can establish a human–nature stewardship group at EBV, creating opportunities for people to learn about and care for Country in Merri-bek.”
Fiona Hoegh-Guldberg – Landscaping

At Elm Grove the architecture, interior design and public art create abundant spaces for you to breathe deeply, soothe your senses and recharge in.
Light will pour in through floor to ceiling windows creating a sense of space and luxury.
Landscaping
Fiona Hoegh-Guldberg
Fiona’s vision is to create new garden spaces throughout Elm Grove where street verges and planting pockets are not only green, but also rich in native biodiversity.
As a current resident, she brings a strong understanding of the EBV community, combined with extensive knowledge and studies in biodiversity, with a particular focus on integrating biodiversity and Water Sensitive Urban Design.
Fiona is passionate about designing more liveable environments—not only for people, but also for the many species we share our surroundings with.

Architecture
“Elm Grove further develops what has been a truly unique project. We have helped create a village within a city that has grown and been embraced not only by the inhabitants of the buildings we have designed, but also the surrounding neighbourhood. The building’s form is established by a series of concrete frames stepping back from the north and opening to connect Fasteners Way to Elm Grove, extending the experience of the village.” – Chris Manton, Director, JAM Architects

Interiors
Fitted with a soothing palette of materials, warm timber floors and veneers and contemporary fixtures handpicked by the team at JAM Architects, Elm Grove brings a refined blend of simplicity and smart living to the fore. Like the rest of EBV, Elm Grove has been designed with livability, sustainability and community in mind.

Sustainable Design
Like the rest of EBV, Elm Grove puts environmental sustainability at the fore. This is being achieved through a holistic commitment to offsets and renewable energy.
On top of Elm Grove’s 8-star average NatHERS rating, all 45 apartments will achieve operational carbon neutral standard status.
